Simply Elegant DSP by Stampin' Up!®

by Lorraine, May 07, 2021

Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by. WOW WOW WOW  Stampin' Up!® have really impressed with this paper range. I just can't get enough of it, it really does have the WOW factor. It is called "Simply Elegant" and it is!!! Once you see it, if you don't have it on your wish list I suggest you go and get a pencil and add it 😀 Today I have made 3 cards using Simply Elegant and each of them take on a different look.

To make this fun fold card I have used Basic Black as my base and layered the Simply Elegant DSP with Very Vanilla.
Here are some basic instructions for making the base.
Cut Basic Black to 21cm x 21cm and score all the way down at 10.5cm.
Turn and score at 10.5cm to meet your first score line in the middle of the cardstock.
In the bottom half that hasn't been scored you are going to cut at 10.5cm to meet the score line in the middle of the cardstock. SO it should have a cross in your cardstock with the bottom part of the cross cut.
To get the top triangles you are going to score from the top middle score line to the outside middle score line.
Make sure you fold really well.
That gives you your base for decorating.

For this card again I have used the Basic Black and layered Simply Elegant DSP with Very Vanilla. I have cut out my labels with Hippo & Friends dies and stamped my sentiment from the Elegantly Said stamp set and embossed it in silver. I have used dimensionals to stick that down with the Simply Elegant trim underneath.

The colours go so well I have used the same Basic Black and Very Vanilla. I have stamped the sentiment and flourish from the Elegantly Said stamp set onto Very Vanilla and embossed in gold, I have then layered that with Basic Black and Very vanilla and adhered that to the Simply Elegant DSP which is layered with Very Vanilla and then onto the card base.
